DEHUMIDIFIER DRYERS - FOR DRYING WOOD, FRUITS AND HERBS

The compression the R134 refrigerant, generates much heat which can be extracted to heat up the drying air. Instead dumping the moisture laden air out and bringing in dry fresh from the outside (thereby losing much heat), the cold evaporator side can used for condensing the water vapour. The condensed water can then be drained out, thereby reducing the air humidity inside the drying room.

Additional heaters ay be added to provide supplementary heating when the moisture load is high.

Several countries do not allow the burning of wood to fire up boilers. The Heat pump dryer provides an alternative for small volume drying. The the running electrical cost will be high per m3 due to the longer drying times.
